VERSION 2.0 · DEVELOPMENT EVALUATION
Control what can be deleted. Preserve evidence of protection activity. Freeze completed business folders into a view-only state—under authenticated administrator control.
TWO OPERATING STATES
Protection is applied only to administrator-selected business folders or non-system data drives.
A Windows minifilter enforces delete and archive restrictions at the selected location—not merely through a visual warning.
Adding or removing locations, changing protection, Archive/Unarchive and controlled audit clearing require a RivoShield administrator session.
Review UTC time, path, action, result, computer, Windows identity, application/process and reason when available. Export CSV or JSONL.
Protected-location and archive state are designed to reconnect across service startup and Windows reboot, followed by verification checks.
AUDIT TRAIL
Search by filename, action, result, computer or user. Export before an authenticated administrator clears records. A log entry supports verification; acceptance must also confirm the target file physically remains.
Read the audit trail guide →PRODUCT BOUNDARY
RivoShield does not retain file versions, recreate deleted data or replace disaster recovery. Maintain an independent, tested backup strategy.
